Happy Birthday My Love

Happy Birthday, My Love!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being such an amazing partner! Thank you for being always by my side for all the ups and downs and for tolerating my nonsense which I am working to get rid off.
I am truly grateful for you! You always amaze me and I look up to you for so many reasons! I know I can rely on you and please know that you can always confide in me, as I will always be by your side to cheer you on!
Love You.
Covid Birthday

Finally, the clock stroke 12 and it made it real – this is how I was going to celebrate my birthday.
Two days ago, my test for Covid-19 came back positive…such a bummer. I feel like being sick has some different levels of hardship: being sick is already bad on its own, being sick and alone definitely raises the bar, BUT being sick and alone on your actual birthday is by far the worst!
This was the first time in all of my 35 years of existence when I celebrated my birthday all by myself and it made be more introspective. I reflected more on my life, my choices, what got me in the place that I at right now and how I should always strive to improve myself for me and for the loved ones surrounding me.
Also, this is the moment that reveals who your true friends are, who you can rely on and who is there just for the show.
Covid made me more independent and it showed me how strong I am, because when hardship bangs on your door, you can only rely on yourself!
Happy Birthday Shaan
The craziest girl in my Life
The amazing yiyi to my Jake
The awesome Mommie to my Godson
Happy birthday, girl! There’s no better friend than you, and there's no one I would rather share my thoughts and secrets with.
You are a true companion and a great woman. I wish you only the best, lots of love, health and that every one of your dreams may come true.
I’ll always be grateful that I was blessed with someone as special as you in my life. You’re my soul sister and best friend forever, girl
I will always be there for you, and I know I can count on you too. Love ya!
xoxo

Chinese New Year 1st Day
Because of the Covid restrictions, we are only allowed to visit one family per day. I really don’t like this rule at all! So, early in the morning, we all went to my aunt’s house to enjoy a game of Majong. It was tranquil and really enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere.
Reunion dinner
As per usual, for the Chinese New Year’s Eve, we had my aunt over for dinner with us. It is always lovely to have her here, we look up to her so much and we care deeply for her. We talked about each other, how we’ve been since we last met and we made plans to spend even more time together.

Happy New Year
A new year is here and I am looking forward to what’s in store for us. I’ve just had lunch and finished the preparations for Jake’s new school starting period which is 2 days’ time. I feel energized and optimistic about this next year and I hope our loved ones will be safe and happy.

2021 Family photoshoot
This year’s photoshoot is finally here and I couldn’t be more excited about it! We managed to get the entire family together, including my aunt who has been the rock-solid pillar for all of us.
I chose to put everyone into rainbow cardigans because I believe that family means joy, happiness and peacefulness.
Thanksgiving
I was so thankful for everyone showing up to today’s table, including my sister, my brother-in-law and aunt who couldn’t join us for the dining out festivities due to the Covid rule of 5 people limit per table. I’m thankful for my family and friends and I can only hope to always be happy and together.
PSLE Results
Ugh, unfortunately the results aren’t as great as we would’ve hoped. We kind of expected Jake to not do so well since he didn’t put much effort into this period of exams. So, I guess you could say I was mentally prepared for these results, but I still hoped for the best.
It was so emotional when Jake arrived home and he cried his eyes out, I could really tell he was truly disappointed with himself. However, I hope this harsh lesson taught him to achieve better results during the secondary school.

Aunty Maria Birthday
It has been 2 years since we’ve managed to get all 8 of us together for the birthday celebrations. Because of Covid restrictions, only 5 people could gather for outside festivities, so it’s been a bit tricky thus far. This is why we celebrated aunty Maria’s birthday at home. She was always the pillar of our family, the soul of all of us, so we would always to go to her for advice or help.
For this year’s photoshoot, I will be inviting her to join us so we will be creating more memories together!
